Holly Ann Studio

Holly is a ceramicist based in the Forest of Dean, with an ongoing connection to Cornwall.

Her practice developed during a residency in Cornwall while studying Fine Art at Falmouth University, where she first encountered ceramics. Prior to this, her work centred on natural materials, using found and foraged elements collected during walks along the coastline. During the residency, she began to explore the integration of these materials with clay, incorporating earth pigments and other gathered substances into her ceramic work.

Since returning to the Forest of Dean, Holly has continued to respond to her immediate surroundings. Her practice has expanded to include a range of clay bodies, glazes, foraged slips and oxides, alongside an evolving exploration of form. Through this process, she seeks to develop pieces that remain grounded in her material-led approach and connection to place.
